Jimmy Suerken – A Fighter for the Injured

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, on the U.S.-Mexico border, I grew up in a place where cultures, languages, and opportunities collided. As a Mexican-American, I learned early on the value of hard work, resilience, and standing up for what’s right—lessons that have shaped my journey as a personal injury attorney and fierce advocate for my clients.

I took that grit and determination to Yale University, where I earned my degree in 2005. After graduation, I returned to Texas and spent two years teaching high school government and economics, instilling in my students the same values of perseverance and justice that had shaped my own life. But I knew my fight for justice wasn’t meant to stay in the classroom—I wanted to take that passion into the courtroom.

I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where I sharpened my skills in advocacy, litigation, and fighting for those who need it most. As a bilingual attorney fluent in Spanish, I take pride in helping both English- and Spanish-speaking clients navigate the legal system, ensuring they never feel unheard or overlooked.
